Martinez will be tried on seven counts, one count of murder and six counts of sexual assaulted related charges including rape.

Prosecutor in the case, ASP Hector Rodriguez presented in court, 17 statements that they intend to use against Martinez. Those statements are coming from the child’s mother, the child’s two grandparents, and statements coming from the child’s two aunts on the step-father side.

After the committal, Martinez was remanded to prison until October.
