Cops Clueless About Armstrong Killing
posted (August 8, 2019)
Now, although Armstrong is well known to police, they haven't been able to establish a motive for his murder. There are many questions left unanswered in this case. Here is what police had to say.

ACP Joseph Myvette, Head, NCIB
"What the police know so far is that sometime around 6:30 pm shots were heard in the area and as a result they were called where upon arrival is when they found his motionless body there. We are following several leads at this point in time and also at this time we don't have a motive."

Reporter:
"Sir there are speculations that he may have been killed by a rival gang, is there anything in the investigation pointing to that."

ACP Joseph Myvette, Head, NCIB
"There is no information to suggest that at this point in time as I mentioned before we are looking at all leads."

Reporter:
"Are you able to say if the area where he was killed is the neighborhood of a rival gang."

ACP Joseph Myvette, Head, NCIB
"No not at this point."

Reporter
"Sir can police say what he was doing in that area?"

ACP Joseph Myvette, Head, NCIB
"That at this point in time was not explained to us. He obviously goes to that area frequently from what we were told."

Reporter:
"From Brian Armstrong's background is there anything coming on the police's radar as to maybe a criminal past, gang involvement."

ACP Joseph Myvette, Head, NCIB
"As far as we know, we would not want to bring the past forward but we know that recently he was charged for being a member of a gang."

And while police say they don't know what led to his murder, street sources say he had a misunderstanding with others in his Rocky road crew over a pair of motorbikes. Those motorbikes we are told now rest at the bottom of the West Canal opposite the Rocky road base.

We note that On July 25th Armstrong told police that he was standing in front of his mother's house when a man he knows well pointed a gun at him.
