Man Once Accused of Stabbing Death Of Uncle, Now Allegedly Stabbed By His Brother
posted (August 23, 2019)
42 year old Oliver Peters remains at the KHMH in stable but critical condition - from stab wounds he sustained on Saturday night during a brawl. Initial reports had been that he was stabbed by a family member - and yesterday his brother was charged for it.

On Wednesday police apprehended Mark Anthony Ferguson. He was arraigned late yesterday evening for the attempted murder of his brother. Ferguson was also read two additional indictable offenses including use of deadly means of harm and dangerous harm. Last Monday we spoke to an eyewitness who told us about the Ferguson's vicious attack on Peter's

Voice of: Witness
"So he was upstairs drinking, and his brother, daughter, and step-daughter came. It looks like they had a personal thing with an affair that was going on with another tenant and her man. So it was a love thing. They were provoking him about the situation and he turned his back to go back upstairs to go back to drinking and that was when his brother stabbed him twice in the back."

"As the Brawl continued the brother came back and started stabbing him from behind and in his neck. As he was being stabbed his step-daughter ran to the back and dropped to the ground and started screaming. He went up on the step to the back and collapsed; he ran into apartment six and came back out. He collapsed on the step and started to bleed out. A young man came from upstairs and attempted to help him stop the blood flow. Then another young man came and they put him into the back of another tenant's pick up truck and rushed him to the hospital."

No plea was taken from Ferguson and he was denied bail and remanded into custody at the Belize Central Prison.

A history of bitter family feuding must be indicated here as Peters himself walked free a few months ago from the murder of his uncle, Thomas Ferguson.
