There was a fatal accident in the Spanish lookout area which left a police corporal and his passenger dead, and 2 others recovering from injuries.
It happened on Center Road in Spanish lookout just down the hill from Universal Hardware. Pook lost control of his vehicle and veered into the path of an oncoming Dodge Ram. That caused a massive collision with the much larger pickup, which sent the Geo flipping off the road.

"Saturday last sometime after 6pm, police were called to Center Road, Spanish Lookout where upon arrival they observed a red Geo Prism car overturned whilst a short distance away a white Dodge Ram pickup was seen. What we know so far is that the car was north bound and was driven by police corporal Lenard Puc and he was accompanied by Manuel Cabb and during the accident, Puc seem to have lost control causing the accident and Manuel Cabb suffered severe head and body injuries and died on the spot, whilst Lenard Puc died at the Western Regional Hospital whilst undergoing treatment. The other person who was driving the other vehicle, one Oscar Rivero received injuries as well as his 3 year old son and both are in a stable condition."
A postmortem will be conducted and samples will be taken to determine if alcohol was a factor in the accident.
