Police were called out to the corner of Vernon street and Lindo’s Alley at 5:30 this evening where this Ford Escape was left abandoned on the sidewalk. Reports say the driver had to flee after he came under attack.
Eyewitnesses in the area tell us that the driver had allegedly injured his common law wife, and was trying to speed off, when, bystanders, who saw what he did, attacked the SUV, punctured the tire, broke the back windshield and caused various other damages.
Police were still processing the scene up until a few minutes ago - and we’ll have more on this on Monday.
