Greg Perez, along with his passenger were heading to Independence from PG when he Perez lost control of his motorcycle. Police told us more.

"What the police know so far is that Mr. Perez along with Mr. Lawrence Cholom who was his passenger departed PG en route to Independence on the motorcycle and upon reaching miles 63 and 64 he lost control of the cycle where he and his passenger fell off. He sustained serious head and body injuries and is believed to have died on the spot while his passenger Lawrence Cholom was transported to the southern regional hospital and later to the KHMH where he remains in a critical condition."
Police say speeding was a factor. None of the men were wearing helmets.
