Hurricane Dorian has finally moved off the Bahamian Islands, and tonight is headed northwest, skirting the Florida coast. The damage it did to the Bahamas is historic; it ties the record for the most-powerful storm to make landfall, and - in the Bahamas - it made three landfalls - both as a category five and category four storm.
And then, it sat stationary on the Grand Bahama island for a cruel and terror filled day. Tonight, the government and the people of Bahamas are just getting a break after 72 traumatic and anxious hours; they are taking stock of the catastrophic damages and the casualties.
