Contraband Confrontation in San Victor! - Cops Come Under Attack, Fire Back
posted (September 5, 2019)

San Victor village in the Corozal District is notorious as outlaw territory, where contraband smugglers hold their ground against Customs and Police.  In fact, in 2009, Customs shot and killed a man in San Victor - as they came under attack.

And, today, reports say the same thing happened.  It occurred at around 4:30 when Police from the Anti Narcotics Unit which had intercepted a truck full of contraband was stoned by the smugglers.  These exclusive photos show how the police mobile's windshield was shattered and two cops got significant head injuries.

Details are sketchy but we are told the cops fired at the smugglers, and hit one of them in the leg.  He has been taken to Mexico for treatment. Other reports say two persons were shot.

This evening, senior police personnel told us that the police will not retreat, and that they will go back ion full force to find the persons who injured their officers and damaged the mobile.  More on this tomorrow.
