The Butchering of Beris
posted (September 9, 2019)
There is a strange death investigation case out west. A man got into a fight on Saturday night and then was found dead afterwards in a yard in San Ignacio. Police are not treating it as a murder investigation at this time. And they told us why today.

ACP Joseph Myvett, Head, N.C.I.B.
"On Saturday sometime after 10pm, San Ignacio police was called to an area on Bishop Martin Street where upon arrival they observed the motionless body of one Berisforf Budna, 26 years old of a Hillview address in San Ignacio inside a yard. He was transported to the San Ignacio Community Hospital where he was pronounced dead."

"What police know so far is that sometime after 10pm there was a fight outside an establishment on Bishop Martin Street which was later joined by Berris Budna who got in the process and hit someone who was involved in the fight. There after he left the area and was followed by some of those persons. So far police have several persons in custody and several statements have been recorded in relation to this investigation."

Reporter
"So you still treating it as a death?"

ACP Joseph Myvett
"Yes it is."

Reporter
"Why? because you could see that they followed him, after the fight."

ACP Joseph Myvett
"At the same time you would want to look at the fact that when the evidence is put together that evidence will be submitted to the DPP for her to give her direction. He became a part of the fight at some point. He was not initially involved in the fight but he became a part of the fight at some point."

Police have reviewed surveillance footage of the area near the fight scene. We will keep following this case.
