Earlier this week we told you about Christopher Chi, the 13 year old from Yo Creek village whose body was found bludgeoned outside Orange Walk town. Well, police have charged his 16 year old friend for doing it. The minor was arraigned in Orange Walk Magistrate's Court his afternoon - and remanded to prison.
Hiss attorney Marcel Cardona said his client maintains his innocence:

"I spoke with my client very briefly and my client maintains the position that he is not responsible for the murder or the death, or for having cause the death of Mr. Christopher Chi, no. Accordingly I will have to take further instructions in relation to that as time goes by no, but the police could only allot me a certain amount of time and during that time that was in a nutshell what the client informed me of, that he is not guilty of the offense which he has been charged with. He has been remanded up to November 5th of this year."
According to our reports, this teenager was the one who picked up Chi at his home on September 6th - which is the last time his. Family saw him alive. The teenager was found dead on September 10th. He died from blunt force head trauma; his family says he was stoned to death.
