Last night we told you about the sports bar robbery in Trinidad Village, Orange Walk. Well, police have arrested and charged St. Mathews villager 34 year old Francisco Santos for two counts of robbery. He was arraigned in court today. As we reported, four masked armed men entered the sports bar and attacked the customers. They stole money and a cellphone. The thieves apparently drove off in a get-away Jeep but police caught up with them and they had to run off leaving the Jeep behind. Police found a homemade shotgun along with an empty .22 shell cartridge and impounded the Jeep Cherokee.
