Attorney Claims Espinoza's Confession Beaten Out of Him
posted (September 20, 2019)
Adamir Choc's alleged killer Nelson Espinoza says police beat the confession out of him. As we told you, he has been arraigned for murder based on the strength of what we are told is a videotaped confession.

But, Espinoza's attorney Hurl Hamilton disputes that. He gave Plus TV an interview explaining Espinoza's police brutality account. Here's how he put it:

Hurl Hamilton, Attorney. Nelson Espinoza
"Clearly he is denying the allegations that that they have against him, but in addition to denying the allegations, I had an opportunity to see my client at the station and he has bruises on his hands and he has bruises on his back. He had indicated to me that the police has abused him, beat him, handcuffed him and I have seen the injuries and they actually did those things for him to give a statement to the police of which he did, but it wasn't by his own free will. The police threatened him, forced him, and coerced him into giving him that statement. So that is not a true statement and that is not reflective of what my client, the instructions that I have gotten that actually what occurred or did not occurred."

Reporter
"Did your client make any mention of whether or not those evidence, supposedly the vehicle and motorcycle, if they are his property? Did he make any mention of that?"

Hurl Hamilton, Attorney. Nelson Espinoza
"No he did not. As a matter of fact we did not have any discussion about any vehicle at all. It was a brief discussion, so presume that perhaps when I go to prison will have further discussion on the matter, but I believe what was paramount was that he was in pain, he indicated what the police had done to him and that was basically the discussion. Everybody is presumed innocent until proven guilty. So in other words he will have his day in court. We are going to defend the matter and let us see where it goes from there. So I can understand perhaps the public frustration and concern in the matter that someone has died, but to cast judgement so quickly, we are law abiding citizen and we operate under the rule of law, so give the opportunity a chance."

As we told you Espinoza remains remanded and his next court date is December 18th.
