Rochus Rolls Out
posted (September 20, 2019)
He announced his resignation abruptly three months ago - and today was the last day in office for BTL's imported CEO Rochus Schreiber.

In April of 2017, Schreiber was selected for the job from a list of dozens of applications from all over the world. But 29 months later, he's moving on, from the company he has re-branded as DIGI.

Two weeks ago we asked him if he has mixed feelings about the abrupt departure - when he was just getting started. But, ever the corporate salesman, Schreiber put a good face on it:

Rochus Schreiber
"I am very happy about the team we have, because they have done all the work and I am very confident and I'm sure that the work we started is now in excellent Belizean hands and it will be executed and pushed forward to the next level."

Reporter
"You had so many projects in the pipeline and you won't see them to fruition. You must have some reluctance about leaving under such circumstances."

Rochus Schreiber
"The projects are coming to fruition. It's kind of like a roll. There is never any end to the roll."

Reporter
"Is there any feelings that if only certain other things could happen, you could have stayed on for a longer time?"

Rochus Schreiber
"No, not at all. What we have done is the job that I was at task to do to give the company push to create a strategy and a vision that can call us the company and the partners in the industry here. It was always clear that there is a timeline on leaving here, because it's a Belizean company."

Schreiber is succeeded by Chief financial Officer Ivan Tesecum - whose father Ediberto led the company for more than a decade form the 90's into the aughts.
