A few weeks ago, we told you about the report of a robbery at a jewelry store in Dangriga Town. It made news because it was three buildings down from the police station and it happened in broad daylight. But, no police report was made initially, and the information we got from local sources was inaccurate. We said that there was a robbery which netted a large quantity oaf cash and jewelry. But that's not what happened. The owner of the jewelry store says that on the morning of Friday August 30th, a man walked into the jewelry store when no one was at the front. He simply took a hammer, smashed the show window, snatched 6 chains and ran off. No cash was taken and no one was held up. The police are working on some leads and still trying to recover the chains.
