Today The University of Belize hosted the final day of the 1st Annual Belize Forensic Science Symposium.
Organized by the University and the National Forensic Science Service it brings together leading researchers and students to discuss enhancing, improving, and continuing to build the capacity of forensic departments throughout the region.
This event hoped to do just that under the theme, "Building Solid Foundations Through Partnerships". We found out more from the Department's Executive Director:
The symposium ran from Wednesday to today. The first two days of presentations were made to a selected audience but the last day was open to the general public.
