San Pedro Bar Argument Leads to Shooting Inside Club
posted (September 30, 2019)
Tonight, a San Pedro tour guide is facing firearms charges after he allegedly shot a man in the shoulder early this morning. It happened at 12:30 am Daddy Rocks Disco on Barrier Reef Drive San Pedro Town - when Javier Romero, allegedly confronted bartender Glenford Dominguez about a misunderstanding Dominguez had with Romero's brother.

That turned into pushing and shoving and then Romero pulled out a 380 pistol and shot Dominguez in the shoulder. Police told us more:

ACP Joseph Myvett, Head, National Crimes Investigation Branch
"This morning, shortly after 2:30a.m., San Pedro Police was called to a night club on main street in San Pedro where upon arrival they observed on Glenford Dominguez with apparent gunshot wounds to the shoulder area and he reported to them that shortly before he received the injuries, he was approached by a male person who he knows where he started an argument with Domingo. As a result, the person pulled out a firearm and fired a single shot which caught Domingo. He is in police custody pending charges in relation to incident."

Reporter
"At this point can you say what he will be charged with?"

ACP Joseph Myvett
"That one would be dependent on the classification on the medico form and certainly the issue of discharging firearm in public."

Our reports say Romero has been charged for an offense before, but got off. We'll see how island police handle this one.
