Man Dies 6 Weeks After Being Shot By Teen
posted (October 1, 2019)
44 year old Brindel Munnings died today in the living room of his Belize City home - 44 days after he was shot.

His wife left him about 3:00 this morning sitting on the couch in their living room. When she awoke at around 6:00 she found him unresponsive. The family says that Munnings had barely been eating in the last few days and that he didn't have enough body weight to recover from his injuries.

On Sunday August 18th Munnings was shot a few yards from his home, in an alley near the Inspiration Center. Munnings was riding a bike to Police Street but he never got there because a male shooter cut him off in his tracks. He suffered multiple injuries and was taken to the KHMH where he remained in critical condition for weeks.

Later that week police informed the public that Munnings' condition had worsened and that he was clinging to life.

On August 26th police charged a teenager for the attempted murder of Munnings. The 17 year old and the older man had reportedly had a misunderstanding over a bicycle. At that time Munnings was reported to be stable and recovering. It is presumed that his charge will now be upgraded to murder.
