posted (October 1, 2019)
NEMO and the MET office are r closely monitoring a weather system out in the northwestern Caribbean Sea. - and you should be paying it some attention too.

It is broad area of low pressure which continues to produce disorganized showers and thunder stormß. Any development of this system is expected to be slow while it is moving to the west-northwest, near the Yucatan Peninsula. It is expected to reach in that general vicinity in 2 days, and then over the southern Gulf of Mexico by Friday. It only has a 10% chance for development during that time, and currently, it poses no threat to Belize.

A press release from NEMO says, quote, "Do not listen to rumors on social media or elsewhere. All are encouraged to review their Hurricane emergency plan and to stay alert as NEMO continues to monitor the area of concern."
