Cooler Heads Prevail At KHMH
posted (October 1, 2019)
Last week we told you about the explosive demand from the KHMH workers union. They demanded the immediate removal of Medical Chief of Staff, Dr. Beatriz Thompson. They claimed she was with wi be removed within a week! And that demand letter was sent a week ago withholding overtime payments and playing favorites with those payments.

The union said it would apply for a notice of industrial action as of last week - but it seems cooler heads have prevailed.

A release from the KHMH today says quote "there is a resolution to a perceived 'Impasse; between the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital Workers Union and management…The KHMHA Board and Union met on Friday September 27th where pending issues were aired and a way forward was mutually agreed upon."

The release closes by saying, "The KHMHA Board and Management assures the public that it will continue to maintain an environment of mutual respect, due process and good faith as it engages in dialogue with the KHMHWU."
