Today was observed worldwide as the international day of older persons. This year, the emphasis is on the theme 'Journey to Age Equality'. That means giving older persons equal access to accessing certain services. But equal is not identical for persons with special needs - and that's the rations behind the Front Ah Di Line Campaign - which was launched today.

The council also hosted the first National Ageing Expo at the Ramada Princess today. Persons 60 years and older represent over 6% of Belize's population.
