Man Charged For Robbing 90 Year Old
posted (October 3, 2019)

On Tuesday we showed you the shocking surveillance footage of a 90 year old man, Lewis Tillet being robbed.  A robber pounced on him just as he was leaving Saint John's Credit Union on Basra Street.  He threw the elderly man from his bicycle, mercilessly beat, and robbed him of two thousand dollars in forty 50 dollar notes which he had just withdrawn from the credit union. Â  Many who've seen the video commented on the very slow moving security guards at the Credit Union who did not run to their customer's rescue.

But, the good news is that police have been able to use that surveillance footage to identify 22 year old Aaron Munnings as Tillet's assailant.  He was apprehended yesterday, and charged today for the crime of robbery.  He is expected to be arraigned tomorrow.

Of additional note is that Munnings is also wanted for questioning in connection with the murder of Devaun Maskall. Maskall was killed at a former stash house located at mile four and a half on the Phillip Goldson highway.
