42 year old Eugene Tillett - a man well known to police and the courts was shot last night in front of Publics store. Tillett was walking on Ebony street heading to Central American Boulevard when he was approached from behind by a man who fired a single shot at him. Today police told us about the incident.

"On Wednesday, the 2nd day of October 2019 police responded to reports of a shooting incident on Ebony street, upon their arrival information was received that one person was shot and was taken to the KHMH. Police visited the hospital where they found Eugene Tillet with one gunshot injury to the lower left abdomen. Information was received that Tillet was walking on Ebony street when he was approached by a male person who pulled out a firearm and fired a single shot at him. Eugene Tillet remains at the KHMH in a critical condition."
Police are reviewing video surveillance from the area as part of their ongoing investigation into this shooting.
