On Friday night we told you about the drive by shooting on Santa Barbara street. Three men were shot: 31 year old Justin Richards, 24 year old Jamal Elijio, and 27 year old Marquin Dury.
Richards was shot to the neck, Elijio shot to the right shoulder, and Dury received a graze to his right foot near the knee.
Yesterday Jamal Elijio succumbed to the injury he sustained during that drive by shooting. We spoke to his cousin today. She told us that she was shocked by the shooting that left her cousin dead and her brother terribly injured.

"I was just heading home at the moment it took place. I was very shocked myself when I reach and they said that it was my brother and my cousin who got hit."
"From what we gather, they were just socializing it was the two of them along with their two other friends and a car just passed by and fired several shots. My brother and my cousin got hit and unfortunately my cousin succumbed to his injury yesterday afternoon to be exact. Yeah that's Jamal."
"He was set to do a surgery today but it never went througth."

"A very quiet individual, humble youth, willing to do whatever, i don't him to be someone who gave trouble, always kept by himself he doesn't speak, when someone message or they try to who it was or they would just say the one with the red eye. He honestly didn't speak to no one much he would be socializing and he just would be there not saying anything just chilling and that's basically him."
Justin Richards and Marquin Drury remain in a stable condition.
