Teenager Shot On South Creek
posted (October 7, 2019)
There was another shooting in the same neighborhood less than 21 hours later. This one happened at around 7:00 last night on South Creek Road, which is only a few blocks away.

A16-year-old minor was standing in a group on Ramsey Street when suddenly, gunshots rang out from the direction of the South Creek Bridge. The young man was shot in the bicep, but it is unclear at this time who the gunman was aiming for.

Here's what the Deputy Head of the National Criminal Investigations had to say about this incident in this afternoon's press briefing:

Sr. Supt. Hilberto Romero - Deputy Head, NCIB
"On Sunday, the 6th day of October 2019, at about 7 p.m., there was a shooting incident on South Creek. A minor, Emory Reyes, 16-year-old, received a gunshot injury to the right arm. He reported that he was in that particular area when he approached by a male person who fired a single shot, and he received that single gunshot injury."

Because of these 2 incidents, police say that they intend to focus some of their attention in this area. There already are 2 checkpoints and other police patrols that are currently operational in that part of the City.
