Man Forgives Shooter, Blames Cops
posted (October 7, 2019)
A man got off an attempted murder charge in court today because his accuser said he forgave him.

Andrew Augustine, took the witness stand and testified that he does not want any further court action against Stephon Anderson. Augustine said that he has forgiven Anderson and it was the police's fault because they deliberately put him in harm's way.

With that Crown Counsel Sherigne Rodriguez entered a nolle pros and the Anderson was free to go.

Augustine told the court that in February of 2014, the police picked him on the suspicion of weed possession.

He said the police decided to let him go because they received information of several shooting incidents - but they put him out in enemy turf on Flamboyant Street. While he was walking on Jasmine Street, heading for Mahogany Street, he was shot in his neck.
