Ministers In Twain For 10/10
posted (October 8, 2019)
Deputy Prime Minister Patrick Faber is on an official trip to Taiwan for that friendly country's Independence Day celebrations. He's accompanied by Minister of Transport and NEMO, Edmond Castro, and Minister of Tourism and Civil Aviation, Manuel Heredia.

They are there to conduct official government business, and, apparently, from the pictures we've seen, to ride around Taipei.

A government release says they have had discussions with Taiwan's Minister of Education Wen-Chung Pan and Deputy Minister Mon-Chi Lio. They've also signed an Air Service agreement with Taiwan's Transport and Communications Minister, Chia-Lung Lin.

The Cabinet members also met with Belizeans students who are studying in Taiwan, and both Faber and Castro participated in an early-morning ride with friends from the Giant Bicycle Company, in which they got to see Taiwan's Tamsui River. Castro is an avid recreational cyclist, and Giant is the largest bicycle manufacturer in the world.

Faber, Castro, and Heredia are scheduled to return this coming weekend, after participating in Thursday's Taiwan's National Day Celebration.
