We've been speaking to the Commissioner of Lands Wilber Vallejos about these transactions, but we learned that he's been out of office along with a fair number of staff.
They're doing what's called a rural outreach programs, where staffers from the lands department go into villages to hear, solve and and resolve land problems.
Now, you know there is no shortage of that in Belize, and they've been dealing with hundreds of cases per day. But, remarkably, Vallejos says they clear as many as 90% of those cases!
