Accused of Cleaning Out Dad’s Account

25-year-old Nadia Aguilar, a resident of Kelly Street in Belize City, is out on bail for theft. That's after her father accused her of stealing his ATM card, which she allegedly then used to withdraw over $2,000 dollars from his personal account.

Her father reported to police that, she took his Atlantic Bank ATM card without his permission, and then on September 2nd, she went to the ATM and made a withdrawal of $400, and then another of $800. She reportedly did the same thing on the following day, when she went back to withdraw another $1,200 in 2 installments of $400 and $800.

Police investigated the complaint, and they arrested and charged Aguilar with theft. She was arraigned today before Senior Magistrate Aretha Ford, and she pleaded not guilty to the offense. She was released on bail of $2,000, and must return to court on November 21st.
