A strip tease contest turned into an ugly street side brawl where one woman was stabbed. It happened at 3:30 on Sunday morning at Dream Like City on the Phillip Goldson Highway and it was captured on cell phone camera.
30 year old Nachell Flowers reported that she got into an altercation with her neighbor 27 year old Shantel Neal who she says attacked her and stabbed her to the chest.
Neal was arrested and charged for wounding and aggravated assault. She was taken to court today where she pleaded not guilty before Magistrate Tricia Pitts Anderson. She was offered bail of $4,000 and the case was adjourned until December 16th.
Now the Commissioner of Police Chester Williams commented on this case in the media police chat group and stated " That place (Dream Like City) needs to be closed down. It has become a problem and the lewd behavior that takes place there should not be tolerated. I just can't understand why with all that's happening there, the liquor licensing board continues to grant them extensions until 3am."
We contacted a member from the Belize City liquor licensing board and he said he did not know about the incident and that he will look into it.
