Today was observed as World Standards Day, and this year the theme was something close to home for us, "Video Standards Create a Global Stage."
The Belize Bureau of Standards held an event at the Radisson to discuss video standards in Belize, or the lack thereof. Channel 5's Rick Romero and Jules Vasquez noted that Belize's broadcast television video standards are lost in the 80's:…
And - apparently on a roll - from there Jules went on to discuss the issue of new media and the sudden and sharp demise of traditional media:
