And yet another fatal traffic accident in the Dangriga area but this one is a hit and run. And, again, the victim was riding a bicycle.
On Friday night 62 year old Fidel Padilla was knocked down by an unknown vehicle between miles 3 and 4 on the Stann Creek Valley Road.
Today Police told us that they are seeking the public's help with any information regarding this accident and Padilla's death.

"Later that same night Dangriga police also responded to a second fatal traffic accident between miles 3 and 4 on the Stann Creek valley road whereupon arrival they saw the body of a male hispanic in the middle of the highway. He was identified as Fidel Padilla 62 years Honduran national with severe head and body injuries on the side of the highway was a blue damaged bicycle. No one was in the area and also the vehicle which apparently knocked him down was not found in the area so at this point in time we are seeking the public's assistance in trying to locate that vehicle and driver in order to continue with our investigation in relation to this fatal accident at this point in time we do not have any leads."
