While those papers were signed in Belmopan for the Taiwanese funded Corozal/Sarteneja road, the Ministry of Investment and Trade hope to get the Taiwanese government to invest in the agriculture sector as well. There was a ceremony at the Biltmore to welcome 10 delegates from Taiwan and North America for this year's second investment mission. They will be staying for a week to tour the country, take in all the agricultural business opportunities and hopefully invest. Here is more from the special ceremony.
The first investment mission was focused on tourism investment. That was completed in June of this year. There will be follow up meetings after the one week visit.
