He was charged with use of deadly means of harm, but when the victim and main witness failed to show up, 27 year old Hugh Phillip Thomas aka "Angel" didn't even need a lawyer to got off yesterday.
In March of 2014, it was alleged that Thomas shot Hortence Lynch who was 17 years old at the time.
She was at a basketball court with two men when she heard a gunshot and the men beside her dashed. She looked across the court and claims she saw Thomas firing shots at them.
She was shot in the knee.
But Lynch couldn't be located to testify and the Crown Council Portia Ferguson was forced to enter a nolle pros.
With that, Justice Colin Williams sent Thomas home, free of charges.
