And while "Boss P" supported Faber in the last convention for Deputy Leader, he has not declared this time.  And neither has Tracy Taegar - who put in her name for first deputy.  She says she supports both Faber and Saldivar for leader.  

And, keeping up with the sanitized public comments that betray none of the cut throat venality of inter-party politics, Faber says he supports Teager-Panton for first Deputy - and Beverly Williams for second deputy - even though she supports Saldivar:

"Mrs. Teagar-Panton has sort of jumped out. What we had heard was the script, she has deviated from that. Now she's not conceding to knowledge of any script, she has gone ahead..."

"Yes because you keep saying that there is a script. I'm glad your acknowledging that you keep saying that there is a script and there is a plan and in fact you concoct all sorts of things. I noted that you said that Michael Peryfitte is also running on Saldivar's slate when there was no such information. So you keep putting that there is a script but anyway, continue with your question."

"Good, so the question I'm reaching to is that what do you make of Tracy Teagar-Panton's quite surprising decision to go as first deputy?"

Hon. Patrick Faber
"I absolutely welcome the candidacy of both my female colleagues. It is not necessarily that I am saying that they have my support in that manner by saying that I welcome them to the fray but it is time, it is past time in my view that women take their rightful place in the leadership of our party. I am embrace her candidacy 100%, I likewise embrace the candidacy of my other female colleague, who unfortunately is on my opposition slate, but that's how it is. I nonetheless value the fact that she has put in her name in the race."

"You will accept then that Hugo Patt is aligned with the Saldivar camp."

"Well I don't know that he has declared that to be the case but I like the care that you're taking this morning because ordinarily you would have long said that Hugo is in Saldivar's camp. In fact, if I'm not mistaken, you may have already put that on your news. So I congratulate you for the wonder care you are taking in this interview. Likewise, Hugo is also a very good candidate for that position of first deputy, so for me, I'm excited by the fact that whichever way it goes, we will have a good solid deputy party leader and possibly deputy prime minister."
