Dangriga Got Short Changed Due to Divisions
posted (October 24, 2019)

And, Clifford Peters from Dangriga, may be a good example of how delegate lists have to reflect some level of divisional diversity.

There’s no way Frank Pawpa Mena can keep him off the list - even though eh says he will vote his conscience, and not necessarily how Mena wants him to.

He told us though, that aside from this - he, Mena, and his brother, the mayor Francis Humphreys have patched up their substantial differences in the division,. And he told us why it make a difference:

Clifford Peters, "Boss P" - Chairman, UDP Dangriga
"But on the division, we suffer because the cabinet and everybody up top, when you are divided, they will say you are divided down there, why should we help you? And that affects what we got in Dangriga right, like the Karl Ramos Stadium without the proper lighting, the Russel-Chiste Garcia Auditorium without AC. If we are united and we stand, then for sure those things will get done and the proper way. So we're tired of being a victim of those circumstances, we have to be smart, united and so we could stand together to fight the higher forces so we get what is just ours."
