Fortunately, he survived the attempt on his life, but he was injured by a gunshot to the hip. Some residents believe that the two shooting incidents for these men are connected. They also live on the same street in the village - and are known to ply the same trade. Police say he gunman shouted threats before he shot.

"Shortly after 11:30pm the police had to return to Burrell boom village to the home of one Kyle Pinkard where a police learned that he was injured by a bullet to the body. What we know is that sometime after 11:30 or thereabouts someone went to his home and knocked on the door and as a result of him refusing to open the door the person shouted several comments and then fired several shots in the building one of which caught him."

"Is there any connection between Baptist murder and Mr. Pinkard's shooting."

"At this point in time we are looking at certain information but this will not be divulged as it is a part of the investigation."

Police also say that the comments that were uttered before the shooting could be valuable in identifying the shooter.
