And for proof that he is vindictive - Faber's opponents point to the firing of Brian Yellowman Audinett. He's a maximum solider for the UDP - and he had a job with the Sports Council checking on the lighting at sports facilities within the city. It's a small, rather meaningless job; not much really, just what would be called an "end."
But, Yellowman himself told Jules Vasquez on Sunday that Faber had fired him - because he is supporting Saldivar. Now - the Sports Council does fall under Faber's ministry of sports - so we asked about it today:
Jules Vasquez "But if indeed you are not as they claim backhandedly, personal, petty or vindictive. Then why is that you have fired Bryan "Yellow man" Audinett, he told me that on Sunday."
Hon. Patrick Faber - Minister of Education "You came to me some time ago making the same accusation, or maybe not directly but over the Phillip Willoughby situation. Isn't that the case? In fact, it was propertied that I take the man out of a... which I didn't give Willoughby any political office but you mentioned that oh, he would be coming off the NICH board. All I am telling you is don't listen to gossip of war. If Yellow man can present to you a letter because it's so they operate in the government, then if that can be the case and you can provide that, then you come back to me and I'll give you a good answer."
Jules Vasquez "So does Yellow man still have a job?"
Hon. Patrick Faber "That is where I leave it. If you can provide, if he no have a letter, then yes."
Jules Vasquez "So he's still being paid by the Ministry of Education and Sports."
Hon. Patrick Faber "He's not being paid in the Ministry of Education, Yellow man is not an employee."
Jules Vasquez "Sports council."
Hon. Patrick Faber "Then you need to go and ask the director that, I don't manipulate what is going on in the sports council or at NICH, so you will need to go there. If the man can't produce a letter, then there is no firing, it's as simple as that."
Jules Vasquez "As far as you know he was not been fired?"
Hon. Patrick Faber "As far I know, no."
We couldn't reach Yollowman to ask him if he had proof of his firing - but the reports about it have been consistent from many persons in the part.
