Darrell Bradley took his seat as the new President Of The Senate in June of this year. Now when he is not presiding over senate meetings, he is running in and out of court dealing with cases as an attorney. But will we ever see him at the forefront in electoral politics again? Say maybe... run in a division? That is what we asked him today at the Salvation Army Kettle drive launch, at which he is a usual guest and contributor. Bradley told us indeed, he hasn't thrown in the towel on politics and only time will tell what his next move will be.

"Well I think I am taking a little hiatus, I think there is always a good place to sit out sometimes to reflect and to seek a little discernment and just to get guidance and to calculate whatever next steps may be in the future for me political wise. I don't think one has to hold an office to be of service. I can always reflect on the fact that I teach, I practice law, I do serve in the national assembly, I do a lot of volunteer work and so that my orientation has always been wherever I am to be of service of course I have made it no secret that I would hopefully someday aspire to higher elected office in this country and I think that is in the future but I can't see in terms of exact steps tomorrow, the day after tomorrow or so forth."

"Sir but there is a convention that is coming up and we also have a general election coming up, are you going to take advantage that, put your name in for a particular division?"

Darrel Bradley
"Well I would have to see, it is something that one can't calculate, I won't be skirting the issue to say that that is something that I want to do, I would actually want to do that, it would depend on circumstances, it would depend on my family, it would depend on my family and other considerations. It would be my hope to say that I would be ready for a 2020 run but it may not be a possibility but if that is not a possibility I would still be around in terms of politically active, giving my voice to the United Democratic Party, supporting where I can, even if it is to advice someone or be in the background, in the fray of the party but someday in the future you would see my name on a ballot again."
