Deputy Faber Rejects Whispering Campaign
posted (November 8, 2019)
Last night you saw our extended interview with Patrick Faber about all things having to do with the race to be the next leader of the ruling UDP.

And, tonight, we have more from that interview. We asked Faber to respond to some of the grumblings we've heard in the background from his Cabinet colleagues.

"But at a certain level, they di talk 'bout you. And what they're saying about you is that you are disrespectful to your colleagues. You don't respond to your colleagues, you don't treat them with respect, you disrespect, ahm, you've been disrespectful to - I am told - a senior member of the cabinet, right in the cabinet. I'm just saying..."

Hon. Patrick Faber - Aspirant, UDP Leader
"I really think that you've gone too far. You've gone too far. These are things when you don't have anything else to say about me - in terms of my professionalism and my integrity - in terms my leadership aspirations - you have to say something. But you know what? I know the people, the people of this party know, the people fo the constituencies know, the delegates know and my colleagues know. So, I won't hold in anything."

Hon. Patrick Faber - Aspirant, UDP Leader
"As I said, in the end when it is that the ballots are casted in that convention and, you know, I should be victorious, I will have to work with all of my colleagues, so I am going to take the high ground, I am going to embrace all of my colleagues as I have always done, even the said Mr. Shyne Barrow, because he will win his seat too. I will continue to support him in Mesopotamia, I will continue to rally, rally for him to win because we need every seat. And once that is accomplished, we will hug up tighter than ever. So you don't worry about what they are saying about me, or what I am saying about them. I try not to say much about them, but you don't worry about that."
