A 21 year old was stabbed in Santa Elena, Cayo yesterday afternoon.
The head of National Crimes Investigation, Assistant Commissioner Joseph Myvette told us about the case of Michael Williams:

"Yesterday afternoon shortly before 1:00pm San Ignacio police were called to the La Loma Luz hospital where upon arrival they observed one Micheal Willams 21 years of a San Ignacio town address with stab wounds. He reported to the Police that whilst he was at a restaurant buying food in Santa Elena town he was approached by a male person unknown to him who uttered certain words to him and later took out a knife and inflicted those injuries before making good his escape. Williams is in a stable condition. At this time police have a 15 year old minor detained in relation to this investigation."
Information says that police recovered a knife with a three inch blade from in front of the suspect's home.
Police were able to use surveillance footage to track him down.
