The Rise of “Silly Murders”?

And while the community waits for the re-activation of the police cadets, for the senior command, the focus right now is on bringing down last year's total murder count by 10%. We say focus, but it's more like a fixation for the commissioner who discussed their crime strategy today:





SUV in San Pablo Sailed Into Lamppost

And there surely was a silly accident today on the Phillip Goldson highway passing through the village of San Pablo in the Orange Walk District. As this security video shows, an SUV coming at high speed rammed head on into a lamppost and fence post. The vehicle was southbound and snapped the lamppost. The impact happened right in near the community centre at a wide curve where drivers must slow down as they approach a speed bump.

It looked serious, but seconds later, the footage shows the driver clambering out of the SUV, and walking.





A PG Protest Over Streets

One of the most annoying things is driving on a bumpy pot-hole ridden road. Well, you can find many of those streets all over the country, but it seems PG residents really have it bad and have had enough. This morning at 10:00 PG residents protested by driving around in their vehicles. We have a clip of a disgruntled PG resident.

The UDP PG town council put up a post with pictures on facebook showing that they are fixing the streets.






A Break on Diesel Prices

And in gas price news, effective tomorrow, Kerosene will increase by 11 cents from $ 7.42 to $ 7.53 per gallon while Diesel will decrease sharply by 19 cents from $10.09 to $9.90 per gallon. The prices for premium and regular gasoline will remain unchanged at $10.78 and $10.07 per gallon, respectively.
