71 year old Handy man Rudolph Russell Arnold was killed instantly this afternoon when he was crushed by an 8 wheeler gas truck this afternoon. Our news team was out on the corner of Central American Boulevard and Caesar Ridge Road as the police were processing the live scene. Courtney Weatherburne has more.

It was a gory scene at the corner of Central American Boulevard and Caesar Ridge Road as police scooped up what was left of Rudolph Russell Arnold's body.

Our information is that Arnold was riding his bicycle toward the Port Authority Compound when he was hit and crushed by this 8 wheeler gas tanker truck. This afternoon when we spoke to Arnold's friend of 30 years off camera, he was still in shock because he had just ridden passed him minutes before the accident.

Voice of: Friend
"I was going to have lunch and he was heading back to work. After that they come and tell me a truck had just knock him down. They told me if I didn't believe I should come by the Boulevard and I will see and I came and that was what I saw. It hurts."

Reporter
"What kind of person was he?"

Voice of: Friend
"He was a nice person. Friendly, you could call him to go and buy for you and he was like that."

We also caught up with Arnold's daughter who rushed to the city to find out more at her father tragic death, it is the worst news a child can get.

"I was at work. I work at the Belize Central Prison and I got a call from my uncle Mr. Dennis Arnold, he is an inspector in police. He told me that he had some bad news that my dad was in an accident, so I came to the hospital."

Reporter
"At this point you don't know what exactly happened or what caused the accident?"

Eglah Arnold, Daughter
"No, I don't. I was telling my co-workers this morning that I haven't seen my dad for a while and then to get this news now."

Arnold leaves two kids and 7 grandchildren behind.
