A 58 year old German tourist dropped dead at Lamanai on yesterday.
Konrad Karl Burchardt was one of 23 tourists with a German tour guide - on a tour coming out of Guatemala.
His tour guide told Orange Walk police that Burchardt was not feeling well and took at seat when he reached the last temple. When he stood up, he collapsed. He had no pulse - and seemed to have died within second. He was rushed to the Northern Regional hospital where he was pronounced dead. He as traveling with his wife where she indicated that he was not ill and had no significant medical history.
A post mortem will be performed.
