Belize's top intelligence lawman is in the UK having talks with the British.  A release from the British High Commissioner says that Sr. Superintendent Howell Gillett is, quote, "in London to hold strategic discussions with officials of UK Law enforcement agencies."   He is pictured at New Scotland Yard with Belize's High Commissioner to the UK, Perla Perdomo.  

As history records, Belize's Special Branch has a long and storied history with its British counterparts.  In the 70's during the internationalization of Belize's cause of nationhood, Special Branch was made to do the bidding of its British overlords, famously wire-tapping the phones of Assad Shoman and Joan Duran - who the British and Americans suspected of getting too cozy with leftist leaders in Nicaragua and Cuba.
