The Belize Female Volleyball U18 Team finished with silver in the thirteenth Central American championships. The games were played in Costa Rica from November 17 - 24 - and at the end of it, once again, the home team emerged victorious.
Belize finished second, and our girls captured 7 of the 12 individual awards.
7News was at the airport when the girls came home, proud but not satisfied with silver:
There was a motorcade for the team this afternoon through the main streets of Belize City.
Once again, the winner of the individual awards are: Gareth Bruce - Best Scorer and Best Attacker, Sofia Solano - Best Libero and Best Defensive Player, Iman Safa - Best Setter, Olivia McKenzie - Best Blocker, and Jayda Smith - Best Receiver.
