There is another home invasion to report tonight - and again, the target is a woman who was at home alone. But, this one happened this afternoon in broad daylight in Belama Phase One.
A 66 year old babysitter told police she was inside a house on Samuel Haynes Street when two men who appeared to have just come out of the river behind the house, stormed in through the back door. One of them carried a firearm, and forced her inside the bedroom where he tied her up, demanding to know where the money is.
The other man ransacked the house for a while before they left. Eventually, she heard the gate open as both men ran off. She called a neighbor to untie her. It is unconfirmed what, if anything was stolen - and a number of items were found strewn across the home.
