Today we spoke to Sheree Clark, Kevin Roches's sister. She told us that they warned her teenaged brother not to go to sea, but he was headstrong. She spoke to us off camera:

"My mom came to my house Thursday morning to do her hair and I asked: "Mom where is Kevin?" She said "Girl I hear Kevin went to sea." so I said "Mom what is Kevin doing out to sea. He doesn't usually go to sea he's not a sea person." She said "Well I don't know because he went with some boys." So I told her "I hope Kevin comes back because people go to sea and don't come back in," right, and this was the Thursday. He came in the Thursday and slept inland."

"My mom spoke to him Friday morning at 7:57a.m. When he called and asked her to send him 3 dollars credit."

"Friday morning he went out. I've been hearing that these guys that he went with were threatened already and that they were told not to come back out there on the island and they still went. My brother doesn't know about these guys having problem with anybody he was just hanging with the wrong friends at the wrong time and so he went with them and that was it for Kevin."

"A female told my mom that she saw the boat pass her yard because she lives down at the riverside here by Jasmine Street and she saw my brother in the boat with the two guys that was when they were leaving the Friday morning."

"Kevin's disappearance has the whole family in shock we never ever think that something like this would happen to Kevin we are confused, because it's been four days now, how can a young boy like Kevin survive out there at sea with no food and no water, no shelter. Even if my brother is dead, we would like to find the body and give the family closure without the body we cannot have any closure and this is what is eating at us. Kevin was just with the wrong crowd at the wrong time. Kevin doesn't like to listen at times but he didn't deserve this. No human being deserves this."

"We spoke with Corporal Budna this morning and my mom asked him if there was any update yet on her missing son and he says that he and coast guard are out at sea right now as we speak. So I told them to please go and check the Mapp Caye area, check it good maybe there is some piece of evidence that these guys are overlooking and if you have to use a smaller boat to go through the creeks please do so."
