Eduardo Wade Will Be Buried With Police Honours
posted (November 29, 2019)
But, no response plan could have saved former Assistant Commissioner of Police, Eduardo Wade. He was in the tiny SUV that crashed head on into the van - and died on impact.

Today, the current commissioner reflected on his former commander:

Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"I must say and express our deepest condolences to the Wade family as well as the family of all those who perished in the unfortunate traffic fatalities on our highways but Mr. Wade is dear to us he served many years as a police officer and rose to ranks of assistant commissioner at which rank he retired as a constable, Mr. Wade was my commanding officer in Cayo and when I was the head of CIB in Belize City, he was the head of CIB nationally and so I worked under his command for many years and he has mentored me, guided me. He has helped to mold me to be the police officer I am today. And so it is only fitting not only for what he did for me but what he did for the department and the country because I am sure that many would agree he served many years with distinction and honor. He was a no nonsense type of officer and so it is only fitting that the police department give Mr. Wade, the final respect and so we are going to have an official funeral for Mr. Wade."

The date for the funeral for Eduardo Wade has not yet been decided.
