On Sunday afternoon, 49 year old Edwin Usher was hanging out his corner store on Vernon Street - when he was badly beaten - allegedly by a man from the same neighborhood.
After being punched and kicked he still managed to walk home, but had to be rushed to the hospital after where he was admitted in critical condition.
On Sunday morning, he succumbed to his injuries at the KHMH - and police know have a murder investigation on their hands.

Based on surveillance video, police are reportedly looking for a well known suspect from the area.
