He's already a parolee and now 31 year old Dillion Diamond allegedly tried to rob an off duty police officer. He was arraigned today and read a single charge of attempted robbery before Magistrate Khadeen Palmer.
Diamond pleaded not guilty to the charge. The prosecutor objected to bail, but Magistrate Palmer granted him bail in the sum of $5,000 plus one surety of the same amount.
The Incident occurred on the 1st of December. The complainant, Javier Marroquin, reported to police that while he and two other officers were walking along East Collect Canal, a man placed an object to his waist and told him not to move.
Marroquin turned around and looked into the man's face causing him to flee.
Diamond is due back in Court on February 4, 2020.
